A young woman lost her first, very wanted pregnancy at 16 weeks. She had to package up her son and bring him to the hospital with her placenta still in utero. She was stable, not bleeding and had a surgery time at 2:30 in the afternoon.
This patient needed dignity and kindness and without hesitation Lynda accepted this task as a charge nurse. She sweetly and genuinely showed care and compassion. She held her hand and comforted her in what had to be the most miserable time.
I would add in general that Lynda can always be counted on for any task, especially the difficult ones. Today and always, Lynda showed tremendous kindness.
