Mr. X called to share the experience he and his wife had at St. Francis.
Ms. X passed out at home and was brought to the ER by ambulance. She had been experiencing vomiting and diarrhea and they suspected she was dehydrated. Mr. X said they were aware she was coming and they triaged her upon arrival. They were taken back right away and she was seen by Dr. C who was wonderful and listened to him tell about his wife’s history, medications, and what was going on. He said Dr. C was very attentive while he talked and felt he had really connected with him and as a result they were able to develop a plan for his wife.
He said the nurse, Sarah, was the sweetest, kindest person. She was very polite and seemed very skilled and knowledgeable. He also said that Sarah had a very good bedside manner and checked on his wife often. He said he could tell the staff were very skilled due to the way they moved quickly and with confidence.
He was going to write a letter but wanted to call personally to let us know how appreciative he was to have such caring and skilled people, especially Sarah Gay, available to provide the care they needed.
