Gina is always very helpful and accommodating whenever Infusion Nurses come to the hospital to take care of our patients or during the weekend. She makes sure we have all the resources we need to get our work done. One weekend when we had no nurse available to work, she volunteered to take care of our patient, on top of her regular responsibilities.

Gina was attempting to give me a new IV site because the previous one failed. I am a "hard stick" person. I was in so much pain, broke into cold sweats, and started to hyperventilate. Immediately, she started to talk to me calmly and had me breathe slowly. She talked me out of a panic attack. We discussed why it was difficult to put in a new IV. She said she was going to call ER and ask the charge nurse to come and do it. When the ER charge nurse came, she and Gina discussed what was going to happen and what I need to do. Because of that, I began to relax. And in one try, I had a new IV.

Gina is a very hardworking person. She is very professional, courteous, and works above and beyond her duties. She keeps the third floor running smoothly, as I have seen her work many times when I was doing wound care. Her co-workers have high regards for her. She is an excellent nurse.
