Tess was a guardian angel! Tess was not only patient with me throughout the day, but also her huge load of other patients. She gave each of us the personal care we needed while juggling medication, crabby patients, and phone calls, beeper pages, and surgeons!
I have not been sleeping well and Tess made it her own mission to make sure I got some relief. She stayed past her shift, calling the doctors multiple times to make sure I slept a little easier and got the medication I needed. Yes! Multiple times I heard her name being called out by younger nurses. She even seemed familiar with the Ostomy Nurse. Sharing personal stories to put my mind at ease when I was nervous. She was tireless, warm, and funny! I loved hearing about her! She even showed me pictures of her pig collection. Told me she loved collecting pigs, and nurses. Clearly loves to be with people. She loves doing what she does. Yes, put up with me. After a week in the hospital and being "high maintenance" she still was patient and kind. I am so grateful!
