Tyler Kellett is an exceptional nurse. Tyler is a STAT nurse on the night shift. He recently received a thank you from a Charge Nurse on 6NE.
"I wanted to let you know that it's been my pleasure to know and work with such an amazing and gifted individual. Tyler was STAT RN on Sunday night. I was charge, and it is difficult to convey how incredibly busy and hard that night was on 6NE. It was easily the worst shift I've had in a while as charge.
We had several rapid responses in addition to other emergencies on the unit including ICU transfers and IV access situations. Tyler was also very busy with other emergencies around the hospital. Despite this, he was just wonderful - he literally set up shop at the 6NE front desk so he could be available to staff. The night would have been awful without him.
His pleasing manners, leadership, strong body of knowledge, level of competence, and most importantly his humble attitude makes him a pleasure to work with. People like him make this world a better place. He's always so approachable and easy-going, never condescending or belittling. Every night that I see him around as our STAT RN I immediately feel better about being at work because I know I have such great support available to me.
I truly hope one day I'll become half the nurse Tyler is. I am grateful to know him and lucky to call him my mentor. His quality and integrity as a nurse, and more fundamentally as a person, shines through. We are lucky to have him, and I hope he never leaves. Also, I'd like to thank UWMC for making such an amazing resource available to us.
Tyler, thank you so much for everything you do. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed and is very appreciated."
