As an Operating Room (OR) nurse, Rachelle continually has safety at the forefront of her patient care. She pays attention to details and strategizes with her co-workers and other departments to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. She is respected by her peers for her leadership roles including serving in the charge position, being responsible for ordering medications for the OR and personally educating peers on new protocols that fall under her responsibilities.

She has a quiet and caring demeanor and yet is enthusiastic in her work. She inspires others to maintain a professional atmosphere while keeping her focus on patient care. She volunteers for extra responsibilities when possible and strives to achieve the mission of Children's through collaboration with all disciplines. Her high quality nursing care is evident in her demonstration of the Children's values and guiding behaviors daily. She is truly a pleasure to work with and an honor to nominate for the DAISY award.
