Zak RN came in for a 7 pm-7 am shift with a great smile and greeting to me has he received a shift report for me. As soon as his shift started he had to care for his assigned patients. Being my nurse, he had to speak with my HMO Case Manager. I don't know how he kept the pace he had, because he still took care of his other patients. It had to be 6-7 times working with my Case Manager to transfer me to a lower level of care. Zak met all qualifications in my view to be recognized for this award.
Also, Zak had to continue caring for his other patients as well. Done with pride and a smile: "That a boy!" Anyone can see he loves his job working for Adventist Health. He is a shining star.
