Michele Walker, who works in CHV dept for cardiac monitoring, has done a great job with the COVID-19 population. At the beginning of the crisis, we started to add cardiac monitoring to a lot of COVID patients. So, Michele had seen many and one particular case with a husband and wife that became very difficult. The husband went to the hospital just prior to him getting the monitor. He was sicker than the wife and we tried to get a referral for him also. However, he went back with sob and his wife was very worried and sick herself having him in the hospital. He did come home a few days later and both husband and wife were doing cardiac monitoring. He did well on monitor as each day he had a video call with Michele on education on COVID and his cardiac condition. After a few weeks, both husband and wife were successfully discharged off services and are both doing very well. They complement Michele for her wonderful caring and compassionate care and for all her education which helped them improve and be able to be discharged from services.
