Timra is our practice nurse and I am so lucky and honored to work with her and have her as my nurse. I am a very busy head and neck oncologist and without Timra...I would be lost. She is exceptionally meticulous, efficient, compassionate, and caring.
An example of her perfection: she ensures each patient has a plan, follows up actively on results, tracks their updates. If they get hospitalized, calls up their family periodically to check how they are doing and she does this to 150+ active patients that we constantly care for.
As an example of compassion, one of my patients who lives alone, and has no social support was unfortunately rendered blind and hearing impaired by her condition. In addition to referring the patient for home care resources, she wanted to ensure she had a home and social support to help go through this difficult process. Timra reached out to the patient's friends (with their permission), ensured that they connected and in the end, a very satisfactory arrangement was made with everyone involved and peace with the outcome.
I wish I had more space to write more anecdotes, but I can write about 1000 of them. Timra is truly a DAISY Nurse.
