As a health care advocate for my boyfriend's brother, I cannot express how appreciative I am to have Mercy Clermont ER and hospital offer inpatient detox for those individuals in the community, suffering from addiction to alcohol and drugs. Because Mercy was able to offer our loved one the detox service, he is finally able to find hope in sobriety again. The team, led by the RN Johnny, is a blessing in this community and I appreciate everyone working together, collaboratively, towards a common goal. This goal allows patients to become the best version of themselves. The detox program and the excellent care received, helped the patient successfully complete detox, and Step 1 of his recovery. I really appreciate Johnny's support, encouragement, and the resources provided to allow the patient's success. Johnny spent an extended amount of time offering not only physical but emotional support, to the patient and his family. For the first time in close to 30 years, this patient is now on day 4 of sobriety from alcohol and marijuana and looks forward to continuing his journey into recovery with a local drug and alcohol center. I work outside of the community volunteering with individuals with dual-diagnosis mental health addictions. Knowing that I can refer patients to Johnny and the care team at Mercy Clermont brings not only relief but hope, to patients who are suffering. The care that Johnny provided was outstanding. Thank you Johnny for all that you did!
