Bia was our day nurse. I am a new mom and also had to have an unplanned C-section after a very long and difficult labor. My husband and I could not have asked for a better nurse! Bia was kind, caring, compassionate, and she truly went above and beyond to take care of my entire family. She didn't just come in to check on me and the baby every couple of hours. She invested time and energy to making sure that I was healing properly from my surgery and getting all of the support I needed as a brand new mom. She also took excellent care of my son. My husband and I felt like she took the time to teach us some critical parenting skills, rather than just taking care of our baby. We truly appreciated that she did that for us! All of our nurses were great, but I was sad to have Bia leave on the third day after she got off shift. She made such an impact on our lives in such a short time! She also helped me out tremendously as I learned how to get started with breastfeeding, which has been going very well since we brought our baby home. Though my labor and delivery didn't go as planned, I am so happy that we had a nurse who truly cared about our family instead of just punched a clock. We are so grateful for Bia and feel she should be recognized for her excellence in care!

I will never forget her energy and positive attitude. Her work ethic is notable and honorable. She gave us clear information and explained everything in a way we could fully understand. Also, she gave us options about treatments and let us be a part of the decision making process. She was also a huge help. If we needed anything as far as milk bottles, nipples, diapers, and wipes. I would recommend this nurse and hospital to anyone having a baby. I can't stress enough how big of a factor her positive energy is. That's one memory I'll always have about the birth of our son. As a first-time father, she was a blessing to my family.

Bia is by far one of the sweetest souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her demeanor from the start was so genuine. She brings such a positive light anytime she came in. She made us feel like friends and family. Our 2-year-old son came to visit, and she showered him with attention and a special Big Bro sticker. She was always so busy, but when she came in, she was calm and never in a rush. Her charisma is something special, and the mother-baby unit is very lucky to have her. She is made to be a nurse! Not only did she make our stay here awesome, she really made us feel special. From hunting down random pumping supplies, because our son was in the NICU, I wasn't planning on having to pump. I want to thank Bia for not only making us feel so welcomed but for taking the time to chat and make a personal connection with me and my husband. She deserves to be recognized because I am very sure any person she encounters leaves feeling the same way. Bia will be a lasting memory and truly aided in making our somewhat difficult situation a positive one.

Bia was absolutely amazing. Upon arrival to the unit, Bia was very sensitive to my time with my newborn and allowed me to stay with my baby while she completed her work. She made him the cutest little boy hat. She was extremely professional and so thorough with all of her teaching. I know that nurses are the worst to take care of, but she was so patient and thorough with me; she never assumed I knew anything but didn't treat me like I wasn't a good nurse for not knowing something. She helped me ensure I had good posture while nursing, without making me feel silly for not realizing that I was slouching. Bia went above and beyond on my day of discharge. I had a repeat C-section and was eligible to stay until Monday. However, I had a 6-year-old at home who was desperately missing mom and dad so I was hoping to discharge by Sunday, however, I was not on the discharge list on Sunday. Bia worked so tirelessly to make sure I was seen by my physician's representative and that baby was checked out in a timely manner. She advocated for me to be able to go home, even though I wasn't technically scheduled to leave yet. Furthermore, she coordinated for us to take home meals so that we wouldn't have to worry about cooking that night. I went from not being scheduled to discharge to home by noon and I fully attribute that to Bia.

Bia exhibited the utmost care with our baby and was so passionate about her work. She was so supportive always and we were so fortunate to have her. Bia maintained such a positive attitude whenever she was with us. It was very comforting as first-time parents. We had difficulty breastfeeding and she worked with us for long periods of time, offering tips and many words of encouragement. She was so patient. She truly has a gift for the nursing profession and we hope to have her again for future children!
