Nancy always goes above and beyond for patients, families, and co-workers, but what she did that really stood out for me to nominate her for The DAISY Award is something so compassionate and deserving of praise. We had a lady admitted with a CVA with right sided hemiplegia, and of course, she was right-handed. This patient had started making a quilt but was upset that she could not finish it. Nancy took it upon herself to complete this patient's quilt for her. This single act of kindness shows not only what type of nurse Nancy is, but what an exceptional human being she is.
