I've been here for a scheduled section. Everyone was really nice from the pediatricians to the lactation consultants. I have to say though the staff at night was exceptional. They really went above and beyond taking care of both myself and my daughter. This is my 2nd pregnancy and when I delivered my first daughter it was at a different hospital where only one person really stood out to me as being exceptional at the time. However, here at Valley the entire night crew really went above and beyond to let me know that they were here to help me. The night shift though came in with this amazing energy every night and really were just more personable. The first night nurse was Anna, she was incredibly friendly. She came in with a burst of energy and really showed that she wanted to help. Offered to take my daughter and let me know that she would keep an eye on her while I slept a little. Anna made it feel warm by engaging in conversation about her new puppy with me and made me feel like it was more of a friendlier hotel stay then a hospital stay. Anytime I contacted her, she was in here in less than 5 minutes. I had Anna for quite a few nights. I was having a difficult time getting my daughter breastfed and when I asked Anna to get me a pump she was here with all these things and explained them all in detail. I kept thinking to myself where do they get their night crew from and man, they are super helpful and happy to be here. You would think at 12AM they wouldn't have all this energy and be so willing and eager to help! This hospital really gets an outstanding ovation for everything I experienced. I would recommend this hospital 100x more.
