Lissa offered a healing hand, but more importantly, she helped heal me with her open heart and strength of prayer. Beyond her normal duties as my nurse, she opened her heart and mind to pray for me during my illness. After a shift, I can understand if a nurse wants to think nothing of the hospital, but Lissa went the extra mile to pray for me at Sunday service when I could not attend. During a time when I saw no recovery from my vomiting, she sent a much-needed prayer on my behalf. She later came to work and took care of me throughout the night. She brought in a fan to cool me down between gagging. She then brought me lemon-peppermint aromatherapy tubes, which helped keep my nausea at bay. I thank God she was the first nurse I saw because the fan and aromatherapy helped me through many episodes of nausea. Upon my request, Lissa prayed with me and helped me feel spiritually seen by God during a painful and uncertain time. Lissa is a true DAISY Nurse.
