I was so fortunate to have had Laurie Benedict as my nurse in the morning. Laurie appeared like a breath of fresh air ready to make me comfortable and assist in any way she could.
When Laurie appeared with a smile at morning shift change, she immediately evaluated me and wanted to know if I was comfortable and what would I like her to do for me first. I told her about my wet clothing and she immediately said, "Your pump was leaking," and took care of the problem. Laurie sat next to me before my release and in detail wrote out my mediation schedule. It was a valuable piece of information telling me what I had already taken and when and what I needed to take next with times and which ones for how many days.
Daisies would never be an adequate gift for such an outstanding nurse. She deserves mountains of roses, orchids, and carnations. Laurie is a true and caring professional that stood out from all the others.
