Honestly, there are too many situations and stories about the care Karen demonstrates and delivers each and every day. As our Nurse Navigator, she is usually the one with the patient when they first learn there's an abnormal finding on their mammogram, she is holding their hand, and side by side with them through the biopsy then she follows up with results. Karen is also the leader of the Breast Cancer Survivor Group. When the pandemic closed off so many resources, she didn't miss a beat and immediately set up Zoom meetings. As her manager, I receive daily compliments from patients, physicians, and other team members. Patient experience surveys and the numerous cards she receives all attests to Karen being a true DAISY Nurse.
