Her name was Brylen and she was a breath of fresh air. I was in the hardest part of my labor and had just given in and ordered my epidural. Brylen took extra great care of me but was also taking her time checking on my baby and explaining everything to me. My baby's heart rate was dipping, we discovered she had meconium aspiration and she was on it. She tried different types of monitors and several different positions to try and help me and my baby all while explaining everything to me and keeping me calm and as comfortable as possible. I did end up having to have a C-section but she was by my side so I was a little more comfortable just knowing she was there. Long story short, the world needs more nurses like Brylen!
