Karen is one of the most dedicated nurses I have had the pleasure of working with. She is hardworking and goes above and beyond for patients and her fellow co-workers. She always proves herself by going above and beyond. She frequently takes calls at home from nurses on the unit at all hours of the day to assist them in any way to make sure they are comfortable and feel supported when giving chemotherapy regimens. She recently came in every evening after shift or on her nights off for a week straight just to ensure there was a second RN to verify that chemo was safely given and checked. She is frequently pulled from her role to be a support person on the unit. Whether she is helping pass meds, assisting on patient rounding, or taking a full load of patients. She is always being a team player. Karen is an excellent nurse to work alongside and I'm sure I speak for the other nurses on our unit. We are grateful to have her as a support person on our unit.
