I have had 5 surgeries to date and cannot think of a time when a nurse stated she would be back and she was! Every time!!! Her attention to my pain level and comfort was assessed every time she was in my room and her positive and cheery disposition made my 3 day (no visitors or husband allowed) stay easier. Her attention to the detail in my needs after discharge, during each med pass, or assessment was highly appreciated as well. There is not enough time to go through the "little" things at discharge, so her spreading the patient teaching out and relevant to what we were doing is an attribute of an excellent, compassionate nurse. Her getting wet and uniform wet while helping me with a shower was true dedication as well, to her job and to me as a patient. Thank you, Leidy, for the allowance of fun too! All the best to you.
