Miranda Mullins is a young nurse but has grown tremendously in her practice since joining our team. During the COVID pandemic when things were so challenging for many of our team because of family circumstances, I saw Miranda night after night willingly take the positive and potential positive COVID patients in an effort to minimize exposure to the rest of her coworkers. She stepped up at a time she didn't have to with things having a great amount of uncertainty.
I heard her tell her coworkers, "No, I'll take the COVID patient, you live with your mom. No, I'll take the COVID patient, you're breastfeeding." The compassion she has shown for her coworkers in this time of pandemic has shined. She has picked up extra shifts time and time again showing that she is professionally engaged and has a commitment to her team. She recently finished her BSN and is encouraging two other new nurses that have joined our staff. For all of those outstanding qualities, I feel Miranda is a true DAISY Nurse.

Miranda is always willing to step in to help in all situations. Whether it be taking a call and working or coming into a patient's room to help out in any way she can. She always goes above and beyond! She is a caring, compassionate nurse and her patients love her! If it had not been for her steady demeanor and willingness to help on some recent tough nights, it would have made my job a lot harder and more stressful. She's the best.
