Jess has been a fantastic RN in the ED for a long time. There are many instances where her dedication to patients becomes even more evident. There was a medical emergency on a flight going to Colorado and they made an emergency landing at Eppley. The two-year-old was brought in Code 99 and was unfortunately pronounced dead in the ED. The mother primarily spoke Swahili and had no family near. Jessica worked with the mother, social work, and spiritual services to ensure the mother's needs were met. She stayed late, comforted the mother, and cared above and beyond for the patient's family in their moment of need. Jess Lee exemplified the spirit of the DAISY Award.
