Kim is such a kind, compassionate, caring nurse. Kim was my mother's nurse for 2 out of 3 days that my mom was hospitalized. My mom was challenging to care for since she has dementia and she was in severe pain. I think Kim went above and beyond to care for my mom to make her feel comfortable and less anxious.
Kim alternated medications so my mom always had pain medications and she used alternate methods (splinting position, etc.) to make my mom comfortable. She was very patient with my mom, encouraging her, and always answering my mom's questions with a smile. Kim kept me well informed of plans, tests, and procedures for mom. She always updated me when I arrived at the hospital and frequently while I was visiting. I feel Kim provided my mom with excellent care and I did not worry about my mom when I couldn't be with her.
