Kelly was so caring and compassionate with me. She took her time and made sure that I had caught everything the doctor had planned. There was a test the doctor forgot to order, Kelly caught it and made sure it was done. Very good attention to detail!

Let me begin by saying I am a very complex patient. This is my 18th hospital admission this year. I am always on oxygen, have a feeding tube and always on antibiotics. Monday morning Kelly was my nurse. She walked in smiling happy and says "Good morning, how are you" very nicely and I was grumpy but her attitude immediately impacted me. I said I had a really bad night. She was unaware my peg tube had a hole so needed to be replaced. So Kelly immediately called the doctor that had ordered for interventional radiology to replace peg so I could get medications. She told me they were coming to get me to replace the tube and within 15 minutes I was having the tube replaced. Nursing is underrated and underappreciated. Hospital stays are difficult for me because I am away from my family, home and people I love and friends. One person who has the ability to put a smile on my face, makes me laugh and enjoy myself is Kelly Smith and in my opinion, she is invaluable. Without a shadow of a doubt she is true DAISY Nurse!
