Rose works on the orthopedic unit and is known for always doing the right thing even when it is difficult. During one challenging situation, a patient was having a hard day and didn't want to rely on anyone for help. Rose patiently listened to the patient and treated him with genuine kindness. Just that small moment of empathy helped turn around the patient's experience.

She sees every encounter as sacred, even with her colleagues, and demonstrates the values of Dignity, Service, Excellence and Justice every day," Frances Horan, MSN, RN, orthopedic nurse manager, said. "Not only does Rose continuously exceed the needs of the patients, but she works cohesively with the physicians to ensure care and treatment is as seamless as possible.
