Jackie Martinek, CNO was honored for her unwavering commitment to the patients and nurses of Brookwood Medical Center. Jackie has dedicated her career to personally providing and making provisions for the compassionate care of our patients and their families in both the bedside and administrative setting. Her dedication to promoting nursing excellence has allowed the nursing team an opportunity to grow and excel in their careers. Implementing clinical ladders, payment incentives for achieving special certification, initiating a new nurse graduate residency program, and a nursing shared governance model are a few of her accomplishments.
She is a visible, approachable, and relatable administrator who meets the needs of our nurses through personal involvement and mentoring. Jackie regularly sends notes to recognize successes, good catches, and sympathy to the nursing staff, who she considers her peers. She is an ever-present cheerleader for our nurses and presents positivity and encouragement. She displays professionalism, integrity, compassion, advocacy, respect, and nursing excellence on a daily basis and truly embodies the ICARE principles of a DAISY Nurse.
