At the beginning of Ms. Emma's evening shift, she checked my mom's IV line to make sure it was working fine. She brought towels, gowns, and even helped my mom to get up from the bed to use the restroom. At the time my mom was going to clean herself, Ms. Emma said "hold on I have an idea. If you don't like it, we won't do it again". My mom said OK. So Ms. Emma proceeded to put gloves on, grabbed a cup with water and started rinsing my mom with the water. My mom said "Oh good, I like that. Good idea!" The smile on my mom's face said it all.
Ms. Emma is such a great nurse that on her first hour of her evening shift she earned a sticker that my mom gave her. That was my mom's way of saying thank you, showing her appreciation and letting the nurse know she has been good to her and that she likes her. Thank You Ms. Emma.
