My child had her bowel perforated in surgery and spent 3 weeks in the Neuro ICU. This was the most traumatic event that has ever happened to my daughter and me. Stacey was her night primary RN and took care of us immediately after surgery. My daughter ended up having a colostomy placed. Stacey took such awesome care of my daughter from the first time she stepped into our room. My daughter was able to really relate to Stacey as they are close in age. Stacey had such a kind, loving, quiet presence about her. She showed so much respect for my daughter and compassion throughout our stay. I was so amazed at how her emotional and spiritual needs were met with such dignity. Stacey also made sure my daughter's cleanliness and hygiene were always top notch to make her feel better about having a new colostomy. I have been an RN for 33 years and my daughter has had surgeries in the double digits. We have never encountered such an amazing RN.
