My son arrived from the ED in critical condition. Kathy organized all his connections, tubes, IV, Oxygen, etc. She leaned over my son and pushed his hair back from his forehead and told him to call her if he needed anything. She was very concerned with his back pain. She always included the family in all discussions. She was the patient and family's advocate. My son had many specialists; she followed up with all of them. She was our Christmas angel. She truly cared, and that made a huge difference in assisting with this difficult situation.

Kathy immediately recognized that my husband was terribly uncomfortable and continually asked to be moved while in bed. She ordered a new bed with an air mattress. It solved the problem after many days of discomfort. She constantly reassured him and calmed his anxiety. Her patients love her.
