I was a recent surgical patient post-op Lumbar Laminectomy on Pavilion 7. I am also a 70 yo retired physician. Aaron was my nurse during the night shift. This was my first time being admitted to the hospital since my appendectomy during med school, and I was more than a little worried about my condition. Being a patient was a new and frightening experience. I had a lot of incision pain in my back, and I was concerned that "I would not be able to walk". Aaron was able to relieve my pain, and took me for a walk around the nursing station, the walker in hand. He examined me and reassured me that my vital signs were normal and my pain was to be expected and would be managed. The walk was very reassuring. My wife and I were both impressed with his bedside manner and his clinical skills. Physicians can be difficult patients, but Aaron was most impressive.
