My 13-year-old daughter M, had a virus and a bleeding cyst on her ovary. We entered Tuesday in the ER and were discharged home. We returned with terrible abdominal pain on Friday.
In the Pediatric ward, I witnessed how hard nurses and other staff work. Eileen was our nurse Saturday night. She made it feel so home-like. M had terrible abdominal pain non-stop. Eileen was the one special nurse who went out of her way to help M. It felt like M had a second mom for a few hours. I was Mom but was emotionally drained from the trauma of M's illness. Eileen proactively looked for ways to ease M's emotional and physical pain. She went beyond giving her pain meds and actually connected with M and me in such a human way it felt as though she was an angel sent by God to help us at the worse moment of M's young life.
Eileen is a superb nurse. I wish to express how grateful I am for her kindness. Eileen is sincere, caring, and connects to her patients.
