Karen Meredith continually exemplifies clinical excellence in her management of our complex patient panel. She gives of herself to help improve outcomes and to be an advocate for those who can't do this for themselves.
A patient of ours was being discharged from another local facility with little notice and needing home oxygen, she spent additional time contacting and petitioning for him and he was able to get this in time.
In another instance, when an out of state family member was concerned about his father's well-being, she contacted VAMC and community resources and arranged follow-up to further evaluate his needs and services. She did this over her lunch, giving additional time to the issue.
Karen is committed to serving our patient panel and is calm and compassionate when they are in stress, thereby helping formulate best outcomes for patients and staff. She is respectful of even our more challenging patients and helps reassure them. She provides excellent care and has an exceptional clinical knowledge base that serves our team well. Our patients are fortunate to have Karen's dedicated care.
