Mark embodies the credos of St. Vincent Health and transcends the fundamental requirements of his duties and obligations at the St. Vincent Stress Center.
From the start, Mark was warm, compassionate, caring, affable, and attentive to my needs. All this while maintaining an appropriately professional provider-patient relationship. I recall that every time I needed or requested items ranging from medications to toiletries or to discuss certain concerns regarding my care, Mark ensured all was addressed almost immediately. He followed up with his colleagues to ensure that any needs he was unable to meet were met by them. Mark also spoke with me when he had the time and that meant very much to me, especially considering the reality that this was a facility foreign to me prior to this stay.
Our conversations ranged from mental health to physical health to waxing nostalgic. The last topic remains the most prescient, as recalling many of the most cherished memories I have of my recently deceased grandfather brought me to an emotional state of peace and joy, both of which had been distant for ages.
Finally, Mark brought me to a place of comfort, giving me solace through a type of faith and hope that I would receive stellar treatment for the torture that has been my illness. Mark was correct; I feel as though a miraculous transformation has occurred and it is honestly fantastic!
