She let me assist in helping her sit up, helping her eat, and took seriously my evaluation of where Mom was in her recovery. She kept me informed of the plan of care, listening and laughing with me when I shared things about Mom and her past hospital experiences. I felt that Lori really cared about Mom and our family, making us feel that we were in this together. She was not only Mom’s nurse, but mine as well!”
