I have been to many hospitals in my 55 years. Had dozens of nurses and staff. Amy is far above the rest. She goes above and beyond her job duties, which by the way she is 100% efficient at. Why do I say above and beyond? Because I was ready to leave AMA. I did not feel as though I was wanted here. I felt like an annoyance. Amy changed that. Within 5 minutes of her in my room, I decided to stay. She made me feel like a human being.
Without being asked she looked for ways to make my stay more comfortable. She asked questions that showed she truly cared about me!
I stayed because of her. I realize now that if I had left AMA, I likely would have died from sepsis. I truly believe I am alive because she cares.
