Heather Huster May "walks the walk", demonstrates and supports her patients, she lives and breathes each of the qualities in her everyday life and clinical practice. Heather provides compassionate care, she listens not only with her ears but with her heart. She builds a trusting relationship with her patients and their families as well as with her team mates. Heather is known for her patient advocacy and leads by example in her every day practice.

Her patients have written in her multiple nominations that "During my stay Heather was always here to distribute my medicines, right on time. I never had to call or ask. She stayed and listened to my concerns, and explained in detail the procedures I had done and what to expect. She always had a smile and kind words that made me very comfortable!"

One patient shared a gift of flowers she had received while an inpatient with Heather writing "These flowers were given to me with love and I give these to you with a 100 times more love! Thank you with all my heart for all you have done for me,as humble as you are, you will reply with "it's my job" but all you did for me goes way beyond your "nurse title". You are an amazing, trustworthy, honest, kind and a hair shy of perfect from my jaded heart to your unjaded heart, I give you all my love!"
