Deb is someone I will remember for the rest of my life. I came into Labor and Delivery for monitoring on a Monday. By Wednesday morning at 1:07 am, my child was born via emergency c-section. Deb was the RN who was there when I was admitted, and she made the life-saving call to have the c-section when my daughter's heart was in distress.
While I was being taken into surgery, Deb held my hand and told me she would be in the room with me. She calmed my fears and I believe she saved my daughter's life.
When she was born and assessed, Deb brought her over to me so that I could meet my daughter. Deb stayed with me and held my hand when she went to NICU. She updated my parents in the hallway, took photos for them and reassured us all.
A week after delivery, I saw Deb and she came to hug me and tell me she was proud of me. This nurse took care of our whole family and changed our lives with her kindness and amazing passion for work. Thank you, Deb!
