After reading the DAISY criteria I thought of Jennifer Mueller. There is a saying of "the only time you should ever look back is to see how far you've come", and that would be Jen. Every day she comes in smiling ready to take on her assignment. She functions as a charge nurse, team leader, preceptor, and an exceptional co-worker. I have watched her grow from ordinary to extraordinary with subtle acts of compassion and kindness to her patients and their families. Jen is able to adapt to a changing patient load and environment on 3South.
Her favorite saying is "I'm here to work"- which interprets to I'm here- take my hand if you're drowning.
