Cara was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient who was on the Oncology Unit the beginning of February. This patient was very sick during her stay but took the time to write a nomination:

Cara is the greatest! She is very nice and very helpful. She made me feel well cared for.

This patient drew a huge smiley face on her nomination form.

The patient's daughter added that even though she has been home for a couple of months, her mother still talks about how wonderful Cara was to her during her admission and what an impact she had on her. She also states that everyone at Piedmont treated her very well; the nurses, the physicians, and housekeeping staff.
