Maggie goes out of her way to help staff members with education/learning areas in our area. She has helped me with care connect and new learning information many times. She has patience in teaching staff as well as patients, family members. She has stayed after hours to make sure a patient is stable and to comfort family members above and beyond what is generally thought of as "enough". She gives 110% all the time. She picks up extra shifts when she hears co workers need help in ICU. She helps even physicians with making sure the patient and family get the very best care. She stayed late on a particular night with me to help the oncoming staff who were less experienced care for a patient. She just knew that to give the patient the very best care and to help with oncoming staff-we stayed and helped until the patient was mercy flown to another hospital. The family came back a few days later and thanked us (especially Maggie) for caring enough to help their loved one. The doctor even made comments about how the team worked together to help this family, again, especially Maggie.

She just goes on thinking that it was nothing special-but she is special and it shows in her cares/actions/her kindness and compassion. She is a wonderful nurse and a great person to have at this hospital. This is Maggie everyday, every shift, every time!
