Blaisy is an AMAZING nurse and person. None of the nurses were able to successfully hook me up with an IV, they even sent a nurse with an ultrasound; however, she too was unsuccessful. Then Blaisy was assigned to me as my nurse. She put warm washcloths on my arm for a period of time and then tapped my vein and was able to insert the IV first time! Blaisy always went above and beyond the call of duty. One example of this: the day I was to be check out, I had a nurse who was otherwise occupied. I was waiting and waiting and although I was not Blaisy's assigned patient for the day, she quickly had my husband pull the car up, she ran my cart of flowers down, ran back up, took me down in the wheelchair and probably ran back up again. What energy and dedication!

Blaisy has been compassionate and patient in dealing with my father who is recovering from colon/intestinal surgery. He speaks very limited English (Cantonese native language) he was very anxious and helpless. Blaisy's kindness in reassuring him that he would be cared for was reassuring. Her whole person transcended beyond language. She was also bombarded by his offspring's. We are a family of 9 children - all type A, ivy league educated and wanted answers. Blaisy's patience and compassion on answering us enough to make us feel he is well cared for in a loving way. She did not indulge us yet kept the balance between communication and reassuring the family while letting us know the patient was her priority and he was in good hands. Blaisy definitely deserves this DAISY Award.
