I recently had surgery and everything went perfectly but there was still a lot of pain. There was nobody that I looked forward to seeing more than Jeri. She made me feel as though I was her only priority. She reassured me and made me get up and move around. She literally wiped my tears, helped me breathe, and gave me the kick start that I needed. She advocated for me in every way. Had it not been for Jeri, I'm not sure that I would have been able to go home as soon as I did. I believe she is exactly what a nurse should be. Strong, compassionate, empathetic, and she knows her stuff! I noticed as I walked through the halls one night, that other patients had the same enthusiasm as she walked into their rooms as I had. Thepatients'families were excited to see her as well. She was a major player in my healing process and I will always hold my care providers to that standard. She has set the bar.
