Breanna is kind hearted, sweet, smart, and beautiful inside and out. I am lucky to work with her.
Breanna always has a smile on her face even when things get crazy on the unit. She is always calm and level headed. The patients adore Breanna and when she is in the room providing care, she makes the patient feel like they are the only patient in the entire hospital.
Not only does Breanna give great care, but she is also a team player. She has taken on the role of charge nurse on the unit, is always willing to chip in and help a co-worker despite being busy herself and is incredibly reliable. When the unit is short staffed, she can always be counted on to come in and assist if needed. I can remember a day when the unit was short staffed and extremely busy. Breanna was at the hospital for a meeting, when a nurse from the unit went down for lunch, saw Breanna, and told her how busy it was, Breanna came to the unit to help and took an assignment. I know that the staff was incredibly grateful for her this day.
This is just one small example as to why Breanna deserves the DAISY Award. Saint Vincent's and our patients are so lucky to have her providing outstanding care.
