Jenni has always impressed me with the quality of her nursing care, critical thinking skills, calmness, and teamwork. I went down to the ED to receive a patient from her and while she was giving me bedside report the patient cardiac arrested (which she had already done multiple times earlier). Jenni and the ED team took over and resuscitated the patient which allowed me time to tend to my other patients upstairs in the CCU. Once the patient had been stabilized again, Jenni traveled with us back upstairs to CCU and then stayed at bedside helping the CCU team provide time-sensitive care. The patient's AV fistula, which had been bleeding and stitched had started severely bleeding again and Jenni held manual pressure until a surgeon could get to the bedside to fix it. Jenni had other patients downstairs but dedicated her full time and attention to making sure this unstable patient was safely transferred until I could assume full care. Her calm demeanor helped set the atmosphere to provide world-class care and I am grateful for her help and compassionate care of this and all of the patients we share.
