The ED had an OB trauma coming in by squad. Erica took the fetal monitor down to the ED and stayed with the patient from ED to CT scan to the Family Birth Place where she had to undergo an emergency C-section. Erica did everything from finding nitrazine paper, to check for ruptured membranes, to get the patient's prenatal records, to holding the patient's hand and reassure her that everything would be ok. All while moving from the ED to radiology to OB. She exemplified multi-tasking nursing care and compassion.
