The very first time Sonja Jones came into C's room we discussed mom's issues with bed sores, acute pain from a broken hip, and bruises from the fall she had taken. Sonja proved to be an extremely caring and professional nurse. For two nights she was in mom's room every 2 hours, rolling and repositioning her, checking her pull-ups to make sure she was dry and clean, and going out of her way to take excellent care of C. Sonja did this without any prompting, and the professionalism she exhibited was refreshing to see. She was polite and caring to not only the patient but members of the family that were present in the room, making sure that all concerns were promptly addressed. It is obvious that the nursing profession is not just a job to Sonja Jones, but a calling. She is one of the biggest assets that Tennova has.
