Marlon exemplifies what the DAISY Award stands for. We were blessed to have him 3 days. He made such a difference in my husband. He is an accomplished nurse but also such a caring, compassionate man. He always made my husband feel very special and never acted like it was anything but an HONOR to attend his needs. That in itself is very special. He asked me many questions about his health issues and even asked if he had been tested for Cortisol levels that can affect the adrenal gland that can cause blood pressure issues. When he had to page Dr N because they couldn't do PT because his blood pressure again dropped so dramatically. Dr N listened and ordered the cortisol test. We are waiting on results.

He thinks patient safety and outside the box. My daughter told him her husband died 10 years ago and not only had he treated my son in law, 10 years later he even remembered he was head of security at the Indianapolis Art Museum. Marlon was a new nurse at that time. There are not enough words to express our great admiration and appreciation for this amazing nurse. He has not only the "healers touch" but also the "Healers heart" for his patients. We are blessed to have had him in our family's lives.
