Ruth was the relief nurse one night and helped tremendously with our mom's care. It was a bad night for my mom as she was dealing with a lot of pain in her head and right eye. Ruth was very patient and helped advocate for my mom. This pain started in the morning and wouldn't go away. She helped control my mom's pain and spent time comforting her and reassuring us she would help in any way. She was always the first one to answer the call light. She knew we were concerned my mom might have another bleed (she had a stroke-brain bleed) and Ruth helped to advocate for more intervention in figuring out why she had pain. Ruth always came in with a positive attitude and a big smile. My mom was awake all night and Ruth was there every step of the way with her caring and compassionate style.
