Chris exemplifies everything you would hope a nurse is and more! Our daughter has been in the hospital for over ten weeks now and we are not sure when she will be discharged. She has a very long complicated complex chronic illness that seems to stump most physicians and nurses around the country. It is safe to say that over the past ten years we have encountered and worked closely with hundreds of nurses, honestly more than we can count!
Chris truly is one of the finest nurses we have ever encountered. We first met Chris on the ICU step down unit when he came in our daughter's room to help out another nurse who couldn't respond to the call light at the time. Chris not only handled the situation at hand but he went above and beyond the call of duty by showing kindness, caring, and compassion about our daughter's situation. The next thing we knew, Chris was streaming our daughter's favorite music in the room for her. He would continue to pop in if there was ever a need and always seems to jump in and help his colleagues/peers and the patients in need. Great teamwork that benefits his partners as well as the patients and families.
