Marcelene was so much more than just a nurse. I was in horrible pain and facing a 3rd back surgery. I wanted God to heal me and go home to my family living a normal life. She picked up on my distress and immediately acted. She used comforting words and assured me that things would work out. I told her that I knew God had a plan. She asked if I was a believer and I told her yes. She politely asked if she could share some scripture with me and pray with me.
Of course, I told her yes, I needed all the encouragement I could get! She grabbed her bible and began to read. I immediately felt an overwhelming peace come into the room. She prayed and agreed with me that God was in control and whether he chose to heal me miraculously or thought the physician, either way, it was healing. I am so grateful she took the time to sit down beside me and step away from her nursing duties to show me that my spiritual health is important as well.
The floor was busy and hustling, but she took the time to provide whole body care! I am thankful for this facility and for her obeying God and being bold enough to share God's love with me. I was instantly at peace with God's plan. Thank you! May you continue to be a light at the hospital for the hurting patients.
