My mother was admitted with a diagnosis of low sodium. She is 95-years-old and after a few days of treatment she was not improving and other things were going wrong. It was time for the hard questions. Sam helped me understand what the options were for the last days of my mother's life. She was knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, and understanding. She spent time with me to be sure I understood everything and to support me. All the nurse who took care of my mom have been wonderful, but Sam helped me with my hardest decision.
